How I got Started
I grew up listening
to my uncle Jim playing the drums. So, I thought I wanted to be a drummer
too. While in high school, I started playing in bands. Being a drummer
did not last as Diane and I move into an appartment.
I later bought a bass and toyed with that for awhile. I guess I
became used to the idea that I was to busy and never stayed with it.
But the need to play stayed with me. In 1997 I turned 30. For Christmas
my wife got me a gift certificate from Russo's in Lowell. I got my first
acoustic guitar and one year of lessons. I praticed everyday and loved
it. A few years later I felt maybe I was ready to start jamming with
some other people.
In 2000 I met
a guy named Jim St.Pierre. while I was waitting on my lesson. Jim happened
to be shopping for a set of drum sticks. We hit it off and Jim and I
started jamming. We jammed out some covers and we did a couple original
tunes to.
In 2002 I made the move to playing out. I helped to form
a cover band we called "NoReflection".
After a few months of practice we where on our way. We played the bars
in Salisbury, MA to the circuits in Plastow, NH., Tewksbury, Dracut and
more. We had a ton of fun doing it. "Noreflection" ran
it's course after 2 1/2 years and we went our own ways.
Moving on to a new band
My uncle Jim used to play in a band called Scorch. I
had seen them play out many times. Scorch is a hard rock cover band .They
had been kicking the circuit for a while. I heard that they were looking
to add a new guitar player to the bands line up. After talking with the
guys it felt like it was gonna be a great time.I joined as the rhythm
guitarist. It was a great time.

We
played a lot and we played everywhere. After a while things got crazy and
the band decided to take some time off.
Thats Gotta Hurt!!
I broke both of my arms during the summer of 2005 and was out of music
for a while. Scorch was getting back to playing out at that time.
I missed playing a great deal!
Although I am not 100% of who I used to be I did
get well enough to play.
I met Al , Kent
and Jill. Together we formed an all original band we called "Anticement".
We worked
very hard and created some great tunes.
Here
is one of my favorite Anticement tunes. I wrote the basic cord progression
back in 1997 and wrote and played the bass lines.
Please
Don't Leave Me
I loved playing the Bass with Anticement. Making
the switch to bass was one of the best music decisions I ever made.
Anticement ran it's course and we all went on. I miss writing
and playing with those guys very much.
To this day I love playing and hope to get back to the stage soon.
I am a lover of Art through and through. I enjoy writing and playing
music. I also enjoy painting and poetry. In 2005 I started writing for
a local Music magazine. NoMaSoNHa.com I gained some great experience
interviewing musicians and people in the music business.
Well, Thanks for taking the time to get to know me.
Hope you enjoyed my website.
